Competition is built directly into THE HIVE. You do not need an outside bracket site or another app just to organize an event. If you see a tournament you want to play in, click Join Tournament and you are in.
When event night arrives, THE HIVE automatically builds the bracket from everyone who signed up. From there, players and spectators can follow the tournament as it progresses, see who is advancing, and watch match streams directly from the event. The bracket, the players, the matches, and the community are all part of the same experience.
King of the Hive, or KOTH, gives that competition a larger monthly goal.
THE HIVE runs a tournament each week. The winner of each one earns a place in the KOTH pool.
By the end of week three the field is locked. Only the players who earned their place move on. There is no skipping ahead. You earn your place by winning.
The final KOTH event. The community follows the live bracket, watches the progression, sees who is still standing, and watches match streams as it moves toward the final.
The winner of week four is crowned that month's KOTH champion. They receive the trophy, their profile carries the achievement, and their accolades become part of their permanent record.
Win again and that history continues to grow. For larger events, the stakes can go even further with prizes added to the competition. KOTH is not just about winning one match. It is about earning your way through the month, reaching the final, and taking the crown in front of the community.
